Tonight, Jason and I met with our photographer(s).  Deanna Worley and her mother will be doing our pictures.  One thing that I'm not sure about is that fact that they said they could not save the edited pictures on a disk.  That's very important to us.  I need to call and discuss this with them some more, because other than that, I'm happy with them.  They are very nice and I like the photo ideas that Deanna has.

Update:  They are willing to work with us on getting the photos on a disk!  Instead of getting the photos and the photobook included in the package price, they are giving us a CD with all of our edited photos!  I am very excited about that and I can't wait for them to take our pictures!  They are going to be great to work with!

Also, we were discussing where to have our Rehearsal Dinner.  Deanna's mom suggested a nice place, Lakeside Event Center, and then after talking about it, we decided that we would rather use this place for the reception, and have the rehearsal dinner at our church (where the reception was originally supposed to be).  We have to call tomorrow to find out if it's available because I have to print our invitations!  Luckily I didn't print them last weekend as planned, or we would just have to leave it as is!  Hopefully this place will be available, but we will find our tomorrow!!

Update:  We decided to keep the reception at the church because it would be a lot easier.  We are doing the rehearsal dinner at another location, and I have to call the lady back to see if we can use Lakeside that night.  If not, we are going to check on the Country Club.

We have so many things to do!  Yesterday was Memorial Day and we celebrated by having our engagement photos taken!  We just needed a few portrait setting photos, so we went to Sears Portrait Studio.  The pictures turned out pretty good!  After that, we went to JCPenney and registered for some gifts.  JCPenney is one of my favorite stores, so I had to register there!  We are also planning to register at Wal-mart and Belk because they are convenient for local people.  I also love Target, but they do not let you return or exchange any item without a receipt, even if you received a duplicate from your wedding registry!  So, I decided not to use Target!  Tonight, we have an appointment with out photographers.  It seems like there are so many things to do, and not enough time!

I was browsing the Loft's online store for some cute dresses for my honeymoon and the rehearsal dinner and found this...All teachers can register and get 15% off every purchase.  There is a link to the coupon once you register.  You can print it and use it as much as you want with your school ID.  Click here to go to the website!

I have beautiful hydrangeas blooming in my backyard right now, so I thought I'd do a centerpiece trial.  These weren't fully in bloom (because I was impatient), and I'll be doing white or ivory for the wedding.  This is the vase I'll be using, and I added river rocks to see what they would look like in it.  Do you like the river rocks...maybe in darker shades of brown?  Should I add another flower or leave it simple?  What do you think?

Update:  These hydrangeas stayed pretty for OVER a week.  I didn't change the water or anything and they didn't even droop at all until about 10 days later.  And if I had cut the stems and changed the water, they probably would still be fine.  So, I have decided that I'm definitely doing hydrangeas, and I'll probably get some bear grass to add to them also.

Today my bridesmaids should be receiving a newsletter from me.  I received a template that was created by Kristen from the Knot.  I just used the same format, but I added my own wording and pictures and stuff.  It worked out perfect because she had the same colors as I did, so I didn't even have to change the colors!  Go here to my DIY Creations page to download the template, which is in Microsoft Word.

I love these flower girl pails.  This photo is taken from Michael's website, but when I looked in the store the other day for the pails, they did not have any.  A plain galvanized pail will work if I just paint it, but I liked the scalloped edge on this one.  Either way, I plan to do something similar to this for the flower girls.

I am currently looking for a ring pillow.  I may end up doing this myself, too.  I am thinking of having just a simple ivory satin pillow with ivory ribbon.

Ok, so we decided last night that we would definitely do the tulle draped across the pews.  This will work out well because I plan to make an aisle runner, and this way the guests will enter the pews from the outer aisles and everyone won't be stepping on the aisle runner.  Only the wedding party and family will walk on the aisle runner.  Plus, we both agreed that this will look best!  Now that we have decided on that, we just need to figure out how to attach the tulle to the pews using rubber bands.  We may also be adding one stem of hydrangea to every other pew.  I need to figure out how much tulle we will need and how many hydrangeas!

Ok, so I am thinking about our pew decorations.  We are limited to what we can do because we can only use rubber bands to attach anything to the pews.  And I'm guessing that we can use ribbon, too.  So, here are some ideas...

I decided to move our blog over to this website, because it is easier to read.  We only have 81 days to go!  I need to make an appointment with the florist soon.  We are doing our own flowers for the reception, but we are getting the florist to do our bouquets and an arrangement for the front of the church.  I want to use ivory and white flowers with a little bit of green in my bouquet.  The bouquets for the bridesmaids will probably be mostly just ivory and white.  I love hydrangeas, cymbidium orchids, and gardenias, just to name a few!  Here are a few bouquets that inspire me!!
